DESTERM V 2.01

Des01.sfx and Des02.sfx are the files needed for the new version of
Desterm v2.01 By Matthew Desmond___Updated By Steve Cuthbert. Steve is the
official "Father" of Desterm 2.01 and HAS authorized distribution of this
version as shareware.

Steve Cuthbert sent out an e-mail on on 11/28/93, saying that it IS ok to
distribute this version (contrary to what it says on the opening/loading
screen).

In the file "Desterm.DOC" (load into buffer as a Commodore file), it has
Steve's mailing, Internet, and Fidonet addresses. Also Desterm.DOC tells
more about the changes to this version. Unfortunately, it does not come
with extensive documentation like previous versions do. (However, you can
use the documentation from Desterm 2.00 in a pinch.) For example, if you
want to transfer files, you have to press CTRL-RUN/STOP to get the main
menu, then select Edit Defaults, Load Protocol, and select the transfer
protocol: XMODEM, YMODEM, PUNTER, COMPILER, or ASCII. After loading the
protocol, then the ALT-R (receive file) and ALT-S (send file) will work.
This has to be done EACH TIME Desterm is loaded.

Otherwise, if the protocol isn't loaded (I tried to save it as part of the
setup file, no go..), you won't be able to transfer files.
